I say it all the time, but it bears repeating—we are incredibly fortunate to work with such wonderful couples. When Austin and I met Dana and Brandon over a year ago to talk about photographing their springtime wedding at the Willowdale Estate, we could tell it would be something special, and we were so thrilled when they selected us to document their day.
Dana and Brandon's embrace is truly continental in reach, closing great distance as gracefully as the fold of a love letter. They met after their freshman year in college when Dana, who was attending Wellesley, lived in Brandon’s fraternity house at MIT for the summer. After an initial period of dating, they went their separate ways for several years to grow as individuals. Then, with Brandon living in California and Dana attending medical school in Boston, they reconnected at a friend’s wedding and began a cross-country relationship that would bring him back to Boston 17 times before they finally found a home together here. They got engaged when Brandon told Dana that he wanted to take her on a picnic…and then whisked her away from her studies at Harvard Medical School for a surprise weekend trip to Paris!
Their wedding brought together guests from all over the world, including several who traveled all the way from Korea to join in the festivities. Surrounded by cherished family and friends, Dana and Brandon exchanged their vows under the warm glow of the tent while the rain gently pattered outside. The calm joy of the ceremony gave way to an exuberant reception, with guests eating, drinking, and dancing the night away under the beautiful twinkling lights of the Willowdale Estate. Congratulations Dana and Brandon!
